TrailQuest is a mobile fitness application developed by MartinThe Strider ("we", "our"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
2. Data we collect

3. How we use your data
All data is used exclusively to operate the app. We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or profiling. We do not sell or share your data with any third party.
- App functionality — name, location (ephemeral), fitness data, photo, friends, app interactions
- Account management — name, email address
- Security — device identifier (session validation)
4. Third-party services
TrailQuest uses the following Google services as infrastructure:
- Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage) — authentication and data storage
- Google Maps Platform — map display
- Health Connect — reading step and calorie data
5. Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You may delete your account via the app (Settings → Delete account) or via this page. Upon deletion, all data is permanently erased from Firestore, Firebase Storage, and Firebase Auth.
6. Your rights
- Access — view your data in the app at any time
- Correction — update your name, handle, and avatar in Settings
- Deletion — permanently delete your account and all data
- Portability — contact us to request an export of your data
7. Children
TrailQuest is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
